Here I am again.... and I am very excited about what Im going to write about to my blog. Its all about ideas!!! Before, i have this goal that i must do a certain thing to make it happen but unfortunately things just dont happen, I don't know why but it did... When i have something in mind, i just prepare to do it and when the time comes that i am ready, i just can't do it.. I read books nowadays especially about business and I was opened to many ideas and opportunities that comes up to my mind and what im worrying now is how to make a move and put it to application. But moments ago, i was watching TV when i switched channels to browse interesting and my attention was caught by TV5 showing stories about this successful businessman named Larry. I didnt know who Larry was but what struck me was the books that inspired him to make a move on entrepreneurship... I was a kind of shocked and amazed that one of the books that he have read to initiate him for doing a move on business industry was one of the books I was reading right now.... So again, my enthusiasm was leveled up again to the point i was eager to read books and learn many ideas from it.. And for me to make a good start, I just thought of writing my ideas here in my blog to remind me for doing it so... I am very positive to make it happen right now and i thinks this can be a good start.............

MLM as new approach of big income earning possibilities

Most of us, nowadays are looking for something that will give our lives more comfortable and satisfied, right? Maybe some of us have already found what they're looking and some are not. I just want to share something that maybe will help you to understand and learn what i will be sharing to you guys.

In our world today, people are striving to have this in their lives; money. Money is essential to the lives of every individuals today. I said this because in order to live and survive the challenges in life whether you like it or not you need money right? Maybe some of you will disagree and i respect that. Its just my humble opinion because it is the issue that bothers around the globe today and even the richest countries in the world have something to say with that..We need money and money is a part of the principle that makes the world go round. In connection with that many of us want a life of freedom. A freedom that will take away all our worries and downfalls.

Now the question is what will we do in order to attain that freedom? Many approaches are offered and usually the basic answer is to find a good and a promising job. I can agree into that before but not now that i have discovered a new approach of earning an income.... MLM!!!

Yes you read it right guys, I think being in a system of multi-level marketing, different opportunities and great chances of earning are open up to every individuals that are really looking to achieve something greater in their lives. I know some of you will raise their eyebrows to my statement. It's just my insight and opinion to what i have seen and realized to the situation of our lives today. MLM or what we called "networking" is really a good start to each one of us for those who want to make an initiative of changing the usual ways of earning a profitable and sustaining income. Many will say that it is a scam and there is no one who became really rich in that field but only the first pioneer members of the particular company. I fairly disagree to that because i have witnessed some achievers in networking industries that can attest that its just a matter of right mindset and action to have the result you have been aiming for.In my opinion, MLM or networking is a part of marketing and sales industry where equal opportunities are offered and it depends on you as an individual to have a great success only if you do your part. It is yourself only who can tell and made a difference for getting what you really want in life. But most importantly, you are not alone for doing it so, The good thing about this MLM is that there is someone who will help you to achieve your goals in life. Maybe to some companies they haven't, but the real essence of MLM starts with building a relationship to other people. And through that relationship (not literally you think) you can build a solid foundation for meeting all your dreams and goals with others. It is said that because of a vast and fast innovations of things in our world today,probably by 5-10 years from now, all of the things that we consumed will be distributed to the market by means of mlm system and no wonder there are many mlm companies are sprouting like a mushroom to follow the coming trend in the future. But i strongly advise not to be easily drag by companies that offers a huge and high return especially if it offers beyond your expectations. Now that mlm companies are moving forward to the limelight, there are some lousy and greedy companies that only aims the benefit of following and trend with no visions and intentions to help people. Companies that will just make promises but in the end will only get the money of hoping individuals to have a great change in their life status and run.... (what the @*^!$%) Be wise enough to choose the right company for you. Look on the system and the person your talking to. If your expectations and your wants are met put that into your consideration... I have learned that if you want "something" you must give it a "try" because if you don't "try" you will end up "nothing".

Right now i am involved to a certain mlm company "The Filipino Dream incorporated with "Filtrepreneur Franchise Inc" and Im proud to say that this is the ONE!!! It's very different to other companies i used to know and get involved with, I've learned many thing aside from the business field. Different aspects of our lives will be cultivated and enhanced in this company. And because of that there are many achievers in our "home". I started to feel that I want to write again but somehow many conflicts popped out in my head. What am i going to write again? Is it really worth reading of? Since now that I became busy, will i be able to maintain my blog again? What topics will be my sources to make my blog active again? These are only some of the questions that bothers me now. But I realize that because of what am i living now is more interesting than my life before, I want to share it to others. I have new experiences gained and exciting stories for the past months since I became inactive in this blogsite.... What do you think???

Nowadays, many are thinking of what to do in order to make a living, right? And luckily i understand why many of us are stuck in the so called "quicksand of poverty". In my personal opinion and according to what I've learned, it is ourselves that is the key to our own success. It's just a matter of right idea, right perspective, and right attitude to do it. Most of us work hard as employees to earn money and that's good but they is it enough to sustain the needs of our everyday life? Maybe to some it can be but to others i can say not. That's why many are still striving in life. I've learned that we filipinos are known to be hardworking and that's all. We are not like chinese people for having a good perspective in earning money. I have noticed that they have this idea of money making strategy. they engage their selves to businesses. Do you know Henry Sy? He is said to be the richest man in the philippines. Because of his "financial intelligence" he was able to prosper his resources by means of duplication. I admired his idea and that's what i'm trying to do now... I want to try something i never done before because i know this something will be good for me in the near future. Now i believe in the saying "IF YOU ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU'VE ALWAYS DONE.. YOU WILL ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU ALWAYS GOT!".

It's been awhile since i haven't visited my blogsite, almost a year.... woah!!! Anyway I got so busy with many things but now I'm back again.... And this time i want to share some of my how do you call this "mga simpleng likha" that represents of what am i now.... I have some poems years before and i thought of sharing those in the net... But how? If i just post it in a blog or in a social networking site, i think it would be just an ordinary notes or a simple post. So i try to find a way to share my poems into something extraordinary. And then i came up to a idea o putting my poems into slide show or video. Yes! it is a good idea, i will make a video using my poems and writings and upload those in www.youtube.com. To give it a try, first i made a video using the lyrics of a song; one of my favorite song... Here it is....

Last month, i have been introduced by my friend to learn autocad. At first, i agreed instantly and got interested to it. My friend who was a licensed ECE volunteered himself to be my tutor and right away we settled the schedule. I really like to learn different skills in computer because i like computers. And since i stayed at home always, maybe i could use such skills to make me became profitable. On the first meeting, I got amazed and shocked. I couldn't absorbed the lecture easily because it's been years since i listen to a lecture and study. But luckily, as the lecture goes on, I got to follow it. As if I was in a mental shock on that moment but since I was really interested to learn, I tried to catch up gradually. When my friend left me, I started to practice my self and got familiarized to the environment of autocad program.... As the next meeting comes, we started making some drawings. It was really interesting. I got fascinated how my friend made his sample drawings. From there, I started to practice myself doing some sample drawings..... Up to now, i was still on the practice mode and hopefully i could use this skill on the near future.... My friends and I also talked about this skill in putting up a business sometime next year... The business was closely related to autocad and networking and I was very positive about this craft....

Discovery travel and living shows

Recently, i watched TV shows from cable channels every afternoon. There's one channel that got my attention to watch to. It was from channel 26 in our cable subscriber and it's name was "Discovery Travel and Living" channel. I was kind of interested to that because of their cooking shows especially when they featured different cuisines around the world. I don't know why but i just loved cooking especially when featuring my favorite pastas and pizzas and others types of cuisines. Though i wasn't able to cook, there's something inside of me that has interest and love for cooking. Some of the shows that i usually watch were "Food Paradise","Glutton for Punishment season 2", Jamie at Home, and others. I learned many things from this shows espcially different kind of recipes and styles in cooking. I was in front of my computer and browsing in the net when i saw a certain site that makes me interested. I was an anime lover and love watching anime series on TV especially "Naruto". When i check out the site, I saw some episodes that were never been aired in the TV. So what I did was I watched the episodes at that moment. It seemed like a marathon mode of watching and i really enjoyed it. After that, i told about the site to my friends and invited them to watch the videos also. Now, I didn't wait the episodes anymore on TV because i already knew the episodes that to be aired this following days. Thanks for the site, i really enjoyed watching to it. Busy busyhan sa career!!!

It's been a while since i updated my blog, medyo naging busy kasi sa iba't ibang mga bagay.... My friend introduced me to this stuff. It's money making online business "daw". At first d ako mkapaniwala dito? Totoo ba talaga ito? He said to check it on the net to prove it. At ganun na nga ang ginawa ko, after nya umalis, nagsurf na agad ako sa internet about this money making online stuff. May mga nakita akong mga links but there's a link that got my attention, "PTC". Kikita daw ako by just clicking ads sa net? Owwww!!! Hindi nga?! Medyo hindi kapanipaniwala pero my nakita akong mga proofs of payments sa mga members ng ganitong uri ng pagkakakitaan. I joined to the link that promote ads like ptc and ask some members. May nakita akong member na meron ng malaking kita sa ptc at nagtanong kung talagang totoo ito. He said he's been in the ptc industry since last year and right now he's really earning. Sa una daw medyo maliit lang talaga ang kita mo, pero once na ginamitan mo ito ng diskarte kahit papano kikita ka talaga dito. He also said that if i want, i can give it a try dahil libre naman ang pagsali. Nagulat ako nung sinabi nya na libre lang ang pagsali pero kikita ka. I was pretty much convinced to what he said kaya sinabi ko na sasali ako pero iga-guide nya ako. Last february i started to register to ptc site. At first talagang mabagal nga ang kita dahil 1 cent pala ang kita per click. Tapos I invite some of my friends to join to ptc industry also as my referrals. As days passes by, unti unting lumalaki na ang earnings ko though cents pa sya that time, parang nakakagana na rin dahil kumikita ako kahit papano by just sitting and clicking in front of my computer.........

Because of rampant evolution of technology, we became conscious for having the latest innovations such as cellphones,ipod,p.c.,laptop,and other gadgets. The most common to those was computers,personal computers. Computers were seen everywhere and anywhere in the world. It was the best access in the world of technology. Let me give some tips and pointers to consider on buying a pc......

When buying a pc, you must first set a budget for that. Typical amount ranges from P15,000 to P25,000 depending on what specs you want to have, if its for gaming, educational or business matters. Once you have figured it out, now its time to canvass the parts. Some buyers prefer to buy a pc in a package deal simply because it saves time and money. But for some buyers like me, buying parts per parts to be assembled is a good choice. In a package deal, pc parts were already fixed and installed unless you want to change it, another charge is next to be paid off. While in assembled parts basis, you have the choice on what kind and how much you want to assemble. You can also budget your money that will suit for your prospected pc.
As always, computers rely to its c.p.u(Central Processing Unit) as it was said, it was the heart of computer so we must focus the parts inside of the cpu.

Motherboard - sometimes alternatively known as the mainboard,system board or casually shortened as mobo. Different sockets and pheriperals were installed to it for different functions and purposes to run a computer. highly recommended motherboards whose brands were MSI and ASUS.

Processor - it is the logic circuitry that responds ro and processes the basic instructions that drive a computer. Intel processors are the most popular and highly recommended especially the latest ones.

Video card- also known as a graphics accelerator card, display adapter, or graphics card, is a hardware component whose function is to generate and output images to a display. It operates on similar principles as a sound card or other peripheral devices. The higher specs of video card, the better performances for image display and fine definition. I highly recommend ati radeon or ge force for video cards.

Hard disk (HDD) -commonly referred to as a hard drive, hard disk, or fixed disk drive, is a non volatile storage device which stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surfaces. It stores all data and files of the computer. Hard disks vary from different capacity or space. The bigger capacity the better storage and performance. Usually hard disks can store up to hundred of gigabyte (GB) specifically 120-160GB with 7200 rpm(rounds per minute). Seagate is the most common hard disk here but you can also try Samsung and Western Digital.
Memory Modules (RAM)- is a class of memory integrated circuit used in computers. allow the stored data to be accessed in any order. There are many types of memory modules such as sd,ddr,ddr2,ddr3 etc. And it also have different caacities that ranges to MB to GB. The higher memory, the better performance.

These are only some of the basic parts you must have for assembling a cpu. Now you can choose different styles of cpu cases. Some cpu cases have already power supply installed. you need to choose some with power supply installed to save your budget. But you can also buy a separate power supply (atx) if you want.

Once you have set your cpu, next stuff is to choose your monitor and other parts like mouse keyboards, speakers, printers and others

Monitors can be in crt and lcd type it depends to you what kind of monitors will you choose that suits to your budget. I recommend LG and DELL monitors.

Mouse is a pointing device that functions by detecting two-dimensional motion relative to its supporting surface. Common of this device was a scroll mouse with a small ball beneath it's surface. Now there are high-end mouse in the market like optical mouse, wireless and laser mouse.

Keyboard-it is an input device that has a set of typewriter-like keys that enables you to enter data into a computer. Computer keyboards are similar to electric-typewriter keyboards but contain additional keys.

Speakers- For those who are music lovers i recommend altec-lansing and creative speakers but you can buy also generic ones.

Computer mode

One day, i was left alone in our house. My mom had a duty in the hospital,dad and my sister have a work in the city hall and my brother went to school. They would be back in the afternoon. What i did first was i ate my breakfast and after that i watched TV. After watching TV, I thought of opening my computer. I remembered, my computer was almost 4 years and still counting in life... I've upgraded some of its parts to maintain my pc's stability. My computer has been my partner in crime. Thanks for having an access to net,I used it when I needed to go to the websites to do some stuffs. I checked my accounts in friendster,facebook,tagged,carmelians and of course my horse racing site hehehe.I also played some games to make me relaxed such as poker and others. Having an internet was a great comfort in my part. Without it, my computer was useless especially nowadays. After doing those stuffs,something popped into my mind. I was in the mood of writing....
I opened the microsoft word program and started to type, my writing skills began to work again. I wrote some poems and stories that I couldn't imagine I could make it. All of them were in Filipino language. And so my patriotism was enriched again hahaha.... It was a stranged feeling that i was able to write those stuffs in one seat. But what i didn't notice was it was already afternoon.. Waaaaaaaaaaaa!!! My mom had came back home and I have forgotten to eat my lunch... I didn't felt any hunger when I was typing in front of my computer. It was very fulfilling that I've made some write ups but I was not able to eat my lunch and fortunately my computer didn't crash hehehe....

Chicken soup

Last night, I couldn’t sleep and didn’t know why, when I saw a particular book. The book was entitled “chicken soup food for the soul” and I remembered I got it from my teacher way back in high school. I’ve read this book many years before but I never finished it. So what I did was I took the book and read it. Maybe this book would make me become sleepy and would give a good rest for me. While I was reading it, I was a little bit inspired on some articles and stories written on that book. Many things and ideas came up to my mind while reading it. I saw myself in one those stories that made me smile. I could relate to some of the stories because I was in that same situation before. I learned many lessons about life, faith, love, family, friends and myself. Somehow my self esteem was elevated especially now that I was in this situation. I felt so down before because of what was happening in my life. There were some realizations for me to look up with and I hoped I could make it too. The stories and articles written in this book were really awesome… After reading some stories, I never felt that I’ve already sleep. When I woke it was already morning and I was very excited to live my day today....

I was introduced by my cousin to sign in to facebook.com, a social networking site same as friendster. At first, I hesitated because it was just a website for socializing and meeting other people. I already have a friendster account and that's enough for me. But he told me that other than meeting people there are some games offered to entertain registered users. He used his account to show me his favorite games inside that site. He played mob wars. I was not contended with the game because you used only mouse pointer and there's no extraordinary action at all. I felt that game was boring. But one day, out of boredom, I gave it a try by signing in to facebook. I played mob wars first and as I pointed some commands, I became eager to play and gain some interest to this game. After that, I tried other games in facebook. I played dragon wars, vampire wars and others. I didn't expect that I would become hooked to that site. Everyday, I always open my facebook account to check my standings in the games I used to play.

One day my cousin invited me to play poker. "Poker?" I didn’t know how to play it.... But I gave it a try like I used to just for curiosity sake. At first, I didn’t know how to play poker so I just click the commands such as call and check and unfortunately I lost. My chips almost dropped out so I decided to quit. What I did was I watched the other players first and studied it. After some rounds of watching, I sit in and tried my chances…. Whoa!!! I won!!! I beat the players with 3 Kings… That was a great feeling! So I played again and I continued to win. I also got some achievements like “four aces”, “big slick”, “quads” etc. Everyday I used to play poker in facebook. Sometimes I lose, sometimes I win but that’s the breaks of the game. One afternoon, I tried another poker game in the facebook, the Texas holdem poker. It was just the same as the poker palace except for its graphics and time. In Texas holdem poker there’s a picture of a dealer while in poker palace has none. But for me the table in poker palace was kind of much pleasing to play than in Texas holdem poker. Back to the poker, when I was in the table playing, someone shout in the shout box asking if I was from Philippines and I answer I was. I never knew that there’s also a Filipino playing poker in my table hehehe. And what stunned me more was she’s a lady…. I was used to it because before, I played with some female players from different countries but never to my kababayan hehehehe. We got to chat while we are playing and sometimes we have this ally thing when we ask each others cards to know if I or she has great or less chance of winning. “Anong card mo?” “K at 3”, ok yan fold na ako kuha mo yan galing!!! Congrats hehehe! I felt happy that time because I found a new friend. I even ask her if she had a ym messenger and fortunately she replied. I tried to call her thru ym and she answer back. We talk and started to know each other. But to tell you, this was my first time to have a person to talk to after knowing that we’re kababayan. It was much unexpected but it was good for me. I knew that this lady was kind and a true person. We continue our communication thru this facebook especially if we’re talking about poker hehe. Even we don’t know each other personally I knew that I was a friend to her and she has a friend in me…….

One time, I was sitting in front of my computer. I was just surfing in the net when I thought of playing my winamp player. Wala na kasi akong magawa non kaya para di ako mabored, naisipan kong samahan ng music ang pagsusurf ko. I was browsing my playlist when my eye was stucked to eraserheads….. So I played one their songs “with a smile”. As the music kept playing, I started to reminisce the past especially my high school life. Sino ba naman ang hindi makakakilala sa eraserheads o e-heads that touched the lives of many music lovers at isa na ko dun. Maraming mga alaala ang bumalik sa kin habang tumutugtog ang music. Nandyan ang mga kalokokhan ng barkada at syempre ang mga lovelife hehehe…. Their songs were very catchy and have captivated the ears and taste of the Filipinos. I became inspired that’s why I was writing this post and after this, I thought of writing a simple story that would like to read by you….

My 2nd operation

At first, daddy was alarmed when he received the call from my Ninong, kaya sinabi nya agad ang balita sa amin ni mommy. There’s no other way to cure my gallbladder but a cholecystectomy. Cholecystectomy is the surgical treatment by means of removing the gallbladder caused by cholelitiasis. I was hesitant because I felt that I was operated once (in my brain) kaya inisip ko na parang risky kung ooperahan ulit ako. But my mom said “kakayanin mo yan anak, madali lang ang procedure na yun”. I have no choice but to agree. We ask Ninong when would be my schedule, at sinabi nya na yung kilala nyang surgeon ay nasa abroad pa at babalik pa after 1 week. Kung mahihintay ko pa sya much better pero, kung hindi na irerefer nya ako sa assistant surgeon ng doctor na kilala nya. We waited him kaya medyo tinitiis ko ang sudden attacks of pain in my abdomen. I also took blood tests like cbc count, direct/indirect bilirubin, potassium, and others to check my condition. After a week we called my Ninong but unfortunately, the doctor was still out of the country. One day, I couldn’t stand the pain in my abdomen so we went to the assistant of the doctor who will used to operate me. He checked me and right away he consulted to have an operation as soon as possible. Tinanong namin kung kalian sya pwede at sinabi nya na bukas pwede sya. After we have set an appointment for my operation, the same night I was admitted to PGH(Phillippine General Hospital). October 15, 4:00 pm I was operated. One hour before the operation, I was nervous. Ang daming pumapasok sa isip ko. Unlike in my first operation, I was really out of my mind. Di ko alam ang ginagawa ko dati. Ngayon, parang iba ang pakiramdam. I knew that I would be in a major operation. Para lumakas ang loob ko, dinadaan ko na lang sa dasal at tulog.
At last, the operation was successful. When I opened my eyes I was already in the recovery room. Medyo nahihilo pa ako nun pero tinanong ko yung isang nurse; “Sir kailan ako dadalhin sa kwarto ko?” “Maya-maya hintayin lang po natin ang order”, sagot sa nya sa akin. I was relieved dahil nalagpasan ko ang operasyon at pakiramdam ko na okay na ako. Because of that, I felt sleepy and I closed my eyes again to sleep. When I woke up, I was in my room already. But I felt very uncomfortable. Parang ang bigat bigat at medyo manhid pa ng konti ang katawan ko. Nang binuksan ko ang kumot ko, nakita ko ang opera sa akin. The cut was small and I was wrong to what I assumed. Pero habang tumtagal, kumikirot-kirot na ang sugat at nhihirapan na akong gumalaw dahil sa sakit. The effect of the anaesthesia gently subsided that caused me an irritating pain. Tapos sinabi sa kin ni mommy na wala na akong dapat ipag-alala dahil di na ulit sasakit ang tyan ko. She took a small bottle and showed it to me. Yan anak ang mga bato na nakuha sa’yo, ang dami pala kaya sobrang sakit ng nararamdaman mo. I couldn’t imagine the gallstones that stucked in my gallbladder. Para syang chocolate candy at ang iba naman ay parang butil ng paminta. 2 big stones and 9 small ones was the main reason kung bakit sumasakit ang tiyan ko. I said to myself that I would take good care of my body from now on, kahit sinabi na sa akin ng doctor ko na pwede na akong kumain ng taba ulit. Pipilitin kong umiwas pero pag wala ng choice kakain pa rin ako hehehehe…………

Gall bladder pala!!!

Arraayyyy!!!! My stomach ached again. Hindi ko alam kung bakit masakit pa sikmura ko samantalang nung nasa hospital pa kami ay okay na okay ako. I took pain reliever and fortunately the pain was gone. My attending physician gave me home medication for the continuing of my recovery. I followed the instructions but what I couldn’t explain was I still experiencing stomach pains even I already took my medication. Yun nga lang, very much tolerated ko ang sakit ng sikmura ko unlike before. One day I felt a radiating pain at the right upper part of my abdomen. Parang tinutusok ng karayom pero ang difference hindi sya nawawala. I told that to my mother and she gave me my medicine. Medyo nawala yung sakit pero ang problema sumabay pa ang sakit ng sikmura ko. Ang malas ko talaga….. I called my ninong again and consulted my situation and he said to have an ultra sound in my abdomen. He referred me to a clinic and right away we have set a schedule for HBT (HepatoBilliaryTree) ultrasound.

When my abdomen was scanned, the doctor saw an abnormality in my gall bladder. "Malaki ang gall bladder mo iho". She asked if I took fasting before we go to her clinic and I confirmed it. Sige kumain ka muna tapos balik ka dito after 30 minutes. Medyo gutom na rin ako kaya niyaya ko si daddy na kumain kami.Pagbalik namin sa clinic, the doctor checked me again, pero ganun pa rin ang result. Di pa rin maconvince ang doctor na ngcheck sa akin kaya pinagpahinga pa rin niya ako. Pero wala pa ring nagbago. The same diagnosis appeared to my ultrasound. Mas lalo pang lumaki ang gall bladder ko. But before she made the procedure to me, we already showed my previous ultra sound early this year. Sa result, my mga nakita ng gallstones sa gall bladder ko measuring 0.4-0.9 cm. But she said the she didn’t see any stones to my gall bladder except that it was distended in size. After that we relayed the results to my ninong. Sinabi nya kailangan ko nang magdiet. No fat and no salt diet ang instruction sa kin para mamonitor ang condition ko. As in wala talagang taba kaya bawal sa kin ang prito at mga luto na dumaan sa mantika. Pati mga pagkain na may taba bawal na. So what did I ate that night was a hard boiled egg except the yolk. Simula noon, puro isda na sinaing ang kinakain ko. At first it was okay but habang tumatagal hindi ko na kayang kainin ang ganung luto kaya ang tendency ay mapasuka. Even the rice, most of the time when I ate rice, I puked it. Kaya konti na lang ang kinakain ko at least 3-5 tablespoon was enough para lang makakain. Pinipilit ko talagang kumain kahit prutas especially apple para lang di magutom. It was very hard for me to cope with my condition sabayan mo pa ng sudden attacks of stomach pain and right abdomen. I also tried some herbal medicine hoping that it would cure my illness. One day my ninong called daddy and told that there is no cure for my situation but an operation as soon as possible……

Hospitalized!!! Again......

It's been a while that i haven't visited my blog because of some uncomfortable and terrifying experiences. Those were much concern about my health. I was in the middle of earth when I was in that time I experienced pain. Let me share this to you...

This mid-September, I have been experiencing stomach pains. I knew that I was prone to ulcer because I was acidic and sometimes nalilipasan ako ng pagkain. September 29 in the evening, nakaramdam ako ng pananakit ng sikmura ko. Medyo usual na sa akin dahil before, naramdaman ko na rin ito pero nawawala din by means of taking medicines such as antacids. But this time hindi nawawala ang sakit ng sikmura ko. Medyo tolerated sya pero di ako mapakali sa tuwing gagalaw ako and because of that, I couldn’t sleep. Magdamag akong gising na paikut-ikot sa kama ko. I didn’t know what to do. Ginising ko na sina mommy at daddy about my stomach pain kaya hindi na rin sila nakatulog. Sinubukan nila na i-hot compress ako pero di pa rin nawawala ang sakit at kirot ng sikmura ko. I called my ninong who used to be a doctor and consulted about what I felt. Binigyan nya ako ng medicines pero panandalian lang ang relief. In a span of minutes, the pain attacks again. My dad even tried to take me to “santiguar” or albularyo (tapal gamot) but nothing happened. Kaya nagdecide na sya na isugod ako sa hospital. Masakit na masakit na talaga pero natitiis ko pa sya. Sa hospital, dinala ako sa emergency, but guess what? The emergency seems to be not an emergency room. Parang nasa out patient department ka sa bagal ng attention na binibigay nila sa mga patients. It took me some time after they attended to me. Binigyan nila ako ng tests like x-ray, urinalysis, stool sample and others. Pinainom din nila ako ng mga medicines that my ninong told me and ganun din ang nangyari, wa-epek.So they decided na turukan ako para direkta ang gamot. Mas mabilis daw ang epekto kaysa mga medicines na pinainom sa kin. After I was injected the medicine, the pain subsided. Yun nga lang sumakit ulit ang sikmura. The difference only was the time. Mas matagal bumalik yung sakit nung tinurukan ako unlike sa mga medicines na iniinom ko. The attending doctors there were discussing about my condition until they gave this another medication. Tinurukan nila ako ng gamot kung saan nakaramdam ako ng matinding pagkahilo. Kaya ang tendency, nakatulog ako. Nandun pa rin yung sakit ng sikmura pero di ko mapigilan ang hilo at antok ko kaya nakatulog na ako. Yun pala iaadmit na ako sa hospital.

Pagkagising ko, medyo nahihilo pa ako pero medyo nawala na ang sakit ng sikmura ko. Naging maayos naman ang pakiramdam ko after they continue my medication. The diagnosis was dyspepsia. I doubted their findings but I was not in the place to judge them what was important was the relief I felt. Masaya ang naging experience ko sa kwarto dahil may mga kasama ako. We were 6 patients in the room and we have different cases but similar to each other. Ang nakakatuwa sa mga kasama ko ay ang mga nagbabantay sa kanila. Puro mga kwela jokes at kwento ang maririnig mo kaya kahit hindi ikaw ang kinakausap ay di mo mapipigilan tumawa. Idagdag mo pa ang mga attending nurses sa room naming na mga cute at sexy. The nurses there were very ready and call to the jokes of my co-patients. I was confined there for 3 days.

When we got home, I thought that everything was ok but the pain in my stomach attacked again………

Dreams II

As I was on my way to our house, I kept thinking what the old lady said to me. Was it really true? Parang imposible di ba? Nangyayari pa ba to? On our house, I came in silence. “Anak san ka galing”? asked by my mother? Sa labas lang po naglakad-lakad lang. I went upstairs to my bedroom and took a rest. And as usual, just an ordinary day has passed by. Next day, as I woke up and I couldn’t believe what I saw! My left arm started to move according to my will. Parang hindi ako na-stroke at nakakagalaw ako ng maayos. I stood up and walked, I was amazed!!! Nakakalakad ako ng maayos. I started to jump and went down to the stairs quickly and I saw my dad was there preparing our breakfast.I hugged him very tight and exclaimed; Daddy!!! Tingnan mo po oh okay na ko! Anong okay? Talagang okay ka naman ah. Hindi po, tingnan nyo oh magaling na ako. Ano bang sinasabi mo anak? Magaling ka naman wala ka naming sakit… Hindi, na-stroke po ako daddy tapos paggising ko magaling na agad ako! Nananaginip ka lang anak, masama yang sinasabi mo anak wag mo ng uulitin yan? I didn’t know why he said that to me. But on the other side, I thought the old lady was right. Parang eto na nga ang reward ko na sinabi nya sa akin. I really couldn’t explain what I was feeling on that moment. I looked for mommy and my father said that she’s on duty. My sister was on work and my brother was on school. Tinanong ko si daddy kung may pasok ako and he answered I was about to go abroad in 3 days kaya di nya maintindihan kung bakit ganun ang kinikilos ko. I immediately took my guitar and played it. Aba, nakakatugtog pa ako. I played most of the songs I knew and I really enjoyed it. After playing guitar, I started dancing to the music from my computer. Dancing was also my passion. It releases stress from my body. Halos pagpawawisan na ako ng sobra sa kakasayaw ko pero hindi ako tumigil. My mother came home and I embraced her. Mommy ang saya saya ko!!! Bakit anak? Dahil mag-aabroad ka na? Iiwan mo na kami? Hindi po dahil masaya ang araw ko yun lang po. My siblings came home also and I also did those stuffs to them. Nilubos ko ang araw ko sa kanila. I cooked, washed the dishes, cleaned the house and etc. All the chores was accomplished and finished by me. I didn’t go out but I was very satisfied to what had happened that day. The second day I went out to visit my barkada. Inisa-isa ko sila, First I went to Tan’s place, next to Michael, John Paul and then to Essy, Ariel, Ton and Igod, Bheng and Ibey. I asked them to go out and have a get together. Buti na lang at libre sila that time. We hang out at the restaurant of John Paul. Tingnan mo nga naman di ko akalain na magkakaroon ng ganito si Gaps. From there, we talk eat, sing, dance and have bonding moments. Nagtawag pa ng iba si Tan at Ariel kaya lalong dumami ang tropa. Janice came, Titan, John Philip, Arjo(Mark),Naddi, Calvin, Jacqueline and family. Halos mabuo ang barkada namin nung mga oras na iyon sayang lang nasa abroad na rin kasi ang iba. We almost ended late at night but it was awesome. The third came and I knew this was my last day of being normal as the old woman told me. Nagpaalam ako kina mommy at daddy para umuwi ng Infanta, Quezon. I went there to make some things. When I arrived at the place, I directly went to the church. I prayed and thanked for all the things that happened in my life. I couldn’t help but cry. Hindi ko alam basta bigla na lang tumulo ang luha ko habang nagdadasal. When I came out of the church, I visited the house we used to live. Hindi naman sya nagbago, nadagdagan lang kainan. Yung tindahan ng lolo ko dati ang naging maliit na kainan na ngayon. I remembered the days when I was still in infanta studying. And from our house I headed to the place of my special friend; a very special person that would always be a part of me. She didn’t knew I was coming so she was surprised. And from the last time, I told her how much she meant to me and I do love her very much. Given a second chance, I’d still do it again just to prove my intention to her. She hugged me and answered back that she loved me too. It’s just that she realized that I was special also for her. Because of that, I jumped very high and carried her with joy and happiness. As the day began to end, I kissed her goodbye and said that no matter what happened I would go back and wait for her. I hurriedly went back to manila carrying a big smile in my heart. At last, I was at home. But when I was near in our house, I saw the old woman again. She said that I was blessed for giving that chance and hope that I would never change. I really thanked her for allowing me to make it happened. She tapped my head again and said “Tulog na iho my surpresa pa ako sa’yo” Ano po? And she disappeared again instantly. At home, I didn’t mind the pagod at gutom so I slept.

When I opened my eyes, I thought that the surprise will be my recovery. But unfortunately, I came back to reality. Eto pa rin medyo mahirap pa rin gumalaw. Hindi pa rin makalakad at makahawak ng maayos. I became sad, but I thought I must not. I was given the 2nd chance and that was it, I’m alive. It seemed that my dream was so real but it was okay. 3 days of happiness was enough for me even if it’s just a dream. Malay natin may mangyari ngang ganito di ba? Don’t stop believing…….

Dreams

I have many dreams in my life and I was lucky because most details of my dreams were retained in my memory. Naalala ko pa ang mga panaginip ko hanggang sa paggising ko kaya pag maganda ang panaginip ko ay nagiging masaya at buo ang araw ko. Of course not all dreams were good for me. May mga malulungkot at masasama na napapanaginipan din ako that result to a dull day. Parang bad trip o yung sinasabing “masama ang gising”. But not all dreams were stuck in my head. May mga araw din na nagigising ako na wala lang parang normal lang. I just wanted to share some of those with you……

One of the best dreams I ever had was I met and helped a beggar and then she gave me a reward for my good deed. Parang fantasy nga kaya kapag naaalala ko bigla na lang akong napapangiti. I was walking on the street when I heard an old voice from a beggar exclaiming alms to the passer bys. As I approached to the beggar, I saw an old woman begging for something. But wait a minute; this old woman was familiar to me. Parang nakita ko na ang matandang ito at nakilala ko na sya. I try to remember her when and where we met and swak! Naalala ko na…. She was the old lady from the church of our school when I was still in elementary….But one thing I noticed was it seemed that the old lady had never changed… Kung ano ang hitsura nya nung elementary pa ako ay ganun pa rin ngayon and I was 25 years old already… I was kind of feeling weird that time. She talked to me and said; Boy pahingi naman ng konting pagkain nagugutom ako. I don’t have any food but I have some money. I answered her that I don’t have one but I have some money to give. Sinabi nya sa kin na kung pwede ko syang akayin na tumawid para dun bumili ng pagkain sa tindahan. I held her hand right away and fetch her to cross the street for her to buy some food. Pero medyo mahirap dahil nga sa kondisyon ko na ako ang inaakay, ako pa ang umaakay ngayon hehehe. After we crossed to the street and bought some food for her, I was shocked in an instant. With just a blink of an eye, I was in front of our house… Whoa!!! Anong nangyari?!! Biglang sumulpot si lola at nagpasalamat sa akin. She thanked me for the helping her and showing her a good deed. As a reward, she gave me a chance to become normal again for 3 days only. Parang nababasa ko na to sabi ko sa sarili pero masaya ako…..

Laging inaabangan ko dito si Rica Peralejo tsaka ang segment nina Kuya Kim Atienza at ang “Umagang Kay Showbiz” ni Ogie Diaz. It was also a good exercise for me while dancing to the tune of “Locomotion”….

Andyan din yung papaya at papayo song with steps na nakakaaliw talaga. Isa sa mga magandang part ng show ay ang interview ni Mr. Edu sa mga players lalo na kapag celebrities ang mga contestants. I’m sure you’ll laugh until you drop to the conversation of Chairman (Edu) and the contestants….

Wowowee- a game show and a variety show also that captures the heart of the Filipinos by giving them a chance at making their lives better. With the combination of a game show, quiz show and some charades, Papi (Willie Revillame) challenge the contestants to try their luck at winning the jackpot prize. Totoong buhay ng ating mga kababayan ang masasasikhan ng programang ito. Minsan matatawa at maiiyak ka rin kapag nagkwento na ang mga contestants ng kanilang mga buhay. But one of the reasons why I always watch this show is because of Papi’s co-hosts especially Valerie Concepcion and the ASF dancers. Whenever I saw Valerie dancing the songs “Sayaw Darling” and “Igiling-giling” my hearts beats faster wooooshh!!! I really admired this beautiful lady…..

Ligaw na Bulaklak – Roxanne Guinoo’s on her most challenging role as Leya Allegro, lead character of this teleserye you will watch this for sure. Many twists were prevail kaya mapapatananong ka kung paano at bakit nangyayari ang mga eksena. I actually became intrigued to this program because of the settings of the show, sa karerahan. Kaya bilang isang karerista, naging follower na rin ako ng teleserye na ito.

Deal or No Deal - Kapamilya Deal or No Deal is a tension-filled game show where a contestant must choose one briefcase from among 26. Minsan sinisisi pa namin ang contestant pag mali ang choice nila or kami kami ng mga kapatid ko pati sina mommy at daddy ay may sariling desisyon sa pag deal or no deal…

Truly a very light yet a challenging show for aspirin contestants. Ang saya ng palabas na ‘to lalo kapag celebrities ang mga players, nagkakamali rin sila kahit ang iba sa kanila ay mga singers na. You can actually recognized the player if he/she knew the song. Tapos na ang first season ng show and I hope that the next season of The Singing Bee will coming soon….

From 16 scholars who will undergo to series of challenges and trainings, top 6 scholars will remain. And from the top 6 only one will emerge and will be proclaim the grand star dreamer of the night on the final gala night. Marami akong bet at ditto sa bahay may kanya kanya kaming mga napupusuan na manalo. For me, it’s a toss up between Bugoy and Laarni. Aliw na aliw kami kay Bugoy. We couldn’t help but to laugh whenever Bugoy makes a move or deliver a statement to his fellow scholar.. Hahahahaha…..

I wanted to share a special happening in my life that happened last August 29, Friday at my house.

Last Friday was used to be my birthday and I was on my silver year of my life. It was a special day for me, yet an ordinary one because I thought I was not that young anymore. Di na kailangan maghanda dahil hindi na naman uso yun lalo na sa panahon ngayon. I felt that day was a simple Friday except there were messages greeting me on my cell phone. On the past years, my family used to celebrate my birthday with food and small gatherings. Kahit papaano naghahanda kami kahit konting pambigay sa kapitbahay at nagiimbita pa ng mga kaibigan para sa isang maliit na salu-salo. But now it was a bit different, because of crisis and the fact that I was getting older, I myself decided to have a simple celebration just for my own family. Hindi na ako nag-imbita ng barkada dahil alam kong busy na rin sila at may kanya-kanyang silang pinagkakaabalahan. Dati kasi, my friends used to come every my birthday at my house. One of the happiest birthdays of my life was on my 18th. That was the first time I celebrated my birthday with my poor condition. I couldn’t imagine to have a party that was a like a small reunion. My friends from high school including my barkada and batch mates plus other my friends from lower years attended on my birthday. Sobrang saya ko talaga kaya di ko maiwasan ang mapaluha that time. My house was small and yet almost 35 persons joined their forces to celebrate my birthday with me. May tao sa labas, sa salas, kusina pati likod at comfort room meron din. That was a once in a lifetime experience that surely I couldn’t forget.

Back to the present, Hindi na ko talaga naghanda, but my mom insisted to have even a small gathering kahit para na lang sa min. Nagpaluto sina mommy at daddy ng isang bilao ng palabok. Of course that was too much for us but my mom said that even I didn’t invited my friends maybe some would come and it could be the food that I could offer to them. It was past six in the afternoon when someone knocked the door. When I stood up I saw Ariel, one of my high school barkada. He brought a cake and that was from essy. Di raw sya makakarating kaya nagpadala na lang sya sabi ni Aga (nickname ni Ariel). Napadaan din lang si Aga sabi nya dahil may mga appointments sya kaya inalok ko na sya agad ng palabok. After he ate, I invite him to go to the OTB to watch horse racing and bet. But he refused and exclaimed; ”Mamaya na tayo umalis dito muna tayo”. So we talked any who what and whereabouts of the barkada outside. Afterwards, a taxi stopped over in front of our house and it was Tan tan’s family (Tan, Jessa and their son Jedrick). I was surprised!!! Kasama nya pa ang mag-anak nya kaya nagulat ako. I knew that Tan was so busy because of his studies and his obligations to his family so I didn’t expect that they have the time to come. Pero nung mga oras na yun, may naglalaro na sa isip ko, parang nakaplano na to di kaya?. Kaya sabi ko kay Tan,”Pare niyayari nyo ko ha”…. “Anong niyayari napadaan din lang kami pare”,he answered. After Tan’s family, Bheng and Lyka came in and then followed by Marigold and Ton with their daughter markielle, Ibey, John Paul, Michael and lastly Essy. Parang mini reunion ang nangyari sa bahay, nagkita-kita ulit kami. The last time we have this gathering at my house was last 2 years ago as we remembered. Each of them brought food for me as if it was pot luck. Kaya pala panay ang text sa kin ni Igod nagtatanong kung anong handa ko para makapaisip sya ng dadalhin dito sa bahay. I ask her to come even for awhile but she declined because she’s on work. I really never thought that this could happen again at sa birthday ko pa. I couldn’t express what I was feeling that time but I knew I was very happy. High school days moments were reminisced, kwentuhan, asaran, tawanan at syempre di mawawala ang inuman. We ended the party at almost 3:00 in the morning. Kaya todo pasalamat talaga ako sa kanila. Hinding hindi ko malilimutan ang araw na yun kasama ang mga tunay kong kaibigan…..

I have received 10 unexpected presents on my birthday and they were my friends, my true friends. Except from the materials they brought, the bonding we have was enough to complete my birthday. The laughter, jokes and conversation; It’s a one of a kind experience for me. I hope that it will happen again in the near future.....

Lambanog

Lambanog is the Filipino term for wine that is locally produced from 100% natural sources. Such examples of natural sources of lambanog are sugar cane, coconut, rice, and “sasa”, a member of the family of palm similar to coconut tree but commonly grow in areas near rivers and swamps. This wine is very popular in the provinces of batangas, laguna, especially in quezon. Mostly people from those provinces have high tolerance to this kind of alcoholic beverages even women. That’s why when you talked about lambanog some will say;” taga quezon ka ba?” “Naku, nakakatakot uminom nyan sobrang tapang!”
In infanta quezon, I was first introduced to drink lambanog. I was 2nd year high school that time when I was told by my classmates to give it a try even for a shot or “tagay”. At first, the taste was not so good to me, parang ang tapang ng lasa. In manila I used to drink beers and some hard liquor when we have special occasions like New Year and Christmas but this lambanog was different. There’s something in this drink that you couldn’t resist once you’ve tried it. Hanggang sa di nagtagal unti unti ko nang nakasanayan ang pag-inom ng lambanog. Lambanog in infanta was made from “sasa” and it was one of the exported products in the province.
Drinking lambanog became my barkada’s means of bonding. Sa tuwing may okasyon sa barkada namin, di nawawala ang lambanog sa handaan o kahit simpleng sama sama lang. There were 10 events where my barkada usually gathered and drink lambanog:
1. Fiesta - Each of us in the barkada have own barangay residencies. Kapag may fiesta sa lugar ng isa sa amin, laging present ang bawat isa para dumalo at makifiesta. That’s why we called ourselves “the fiesta boys”. After eating we would start to drink.
2. Birthday – Every month in the calendar have specific date and schedule for celebration from January to December. Kaya di pwedeng di kami magiinom sa isang buwan hehehe.
3. after periodical exams – Usually after the pressures and headache for answering the test papers, we have to relax and unwind so we drink. Minsan pinagusapan pa yung mga sagot namin na humahantong sa isang magandang debate habang tumatagay ng lambanog.
4. Picnic – Whenever we wanted to gather especially weekends or vacation we go to the beach and from there many activities happened. Nandyan ang kumustahan because some us were from different section, biruan, tawanan, at syempre inuman ng lambanog.
5. Graduation (high school) – This was the very memorable experience that I have and for my friends also. Because this was the time we would separate from each other. Some would stay in infanta and some would go to manila to study in college. May halong lungkot at saya ang nararamdaman namin dahil magkakahiwalay na kami at makakakilala rin ng mga bagong kaibigan sa mga papasukan naming universities. Different emotions were expressed each other while drinking lambanog.
6. simpleng kita-kita- Kapag walang magawa nagtatawagan ang nagpupunta sa isang bahay ng kabarkada namin. From there, we talked of anything, watched movies on vcds, at syempre isang bote ng lambanog para mas masaya ang kwentuhan at samahan.
7. Christmas – In 4 years of stay in infanta we never missed to celebrate Christmas together with my barkada. Every 25th of December we went to each other’s house para magkita-kita at maki-pasko. There were times we have exchange gifts and of course bonding moments with lambanog on the side hehehe.
8. Wedding – Some of us have stepped to another chapter of life and that is to have a family. Magkikita-kita kami ulit para sa kasal ng kaibigan at pagkatapos ng kasalan, nandyan ang ilang bote ng lambanog sa lamesa para sa isang masayang tagayan at salu-salo.
9. Christening – After wedding, baptism of baby comes next. Present ulit ang barkada dahil mga ninong at ninang ang karamihan sa amin. Nandyan ang mga masasarap na handa pero di mawawala ang bote ng lambanog na galing pa sa infanta hehehe.
10. Despedida – Whenever one of us in the barkada would go abroad to work, we gathered and like we used to do, bonding moments. May mga magbibilin ng mga pasalubong at kung anu ano pa. And because there is no lambanog on abroad, susulitin ang paginom nito at ang samahan na pansamantalang maiiwan ay magsasaya ulit.

To sum it up, Lambanog became the significant figure in my barkada up to now. Kahit din na ako nakakainom, I know that it will always be a part to each of us in our barkada….

Reasons why do kareristas bet?

As one of the racing afficionado or “bayang karerista”, I became curious about the world where I was into. Many questions came up to my mind about this horse racing industry. Each of us kareristas have the reasons why we betted our money for our choice. We all knew that horse racing was a kind of gambling. And gambling is a chance of luck, it’s either win or lose. Some could win and some could lose, but more often we lost. Sabi nga ng isa sa mga nakausap ko; “Mas malaki ang talo kaysa sa panalo ang nanalo lang ay yung mga malalaking tao na may koneksyon sa karera.”
At the OTB (off-track-betting station) in our place, I got to ask some bettors about their opinions and reasons in betting and horse racing. Here are my questions and some of their answers:
A: Kuya/Tatay matagal ka na pong nangangrera? Palagi po bang tumatama? Bakit po kayo tumataya? kahit parati kayong natatalo tumataya pa rin kayo? Bakit po?
Bettor 1:Ah oo matagal na kong nangangarera, Minsan tumatama, minsan talo. Matagal na kong karerista di ka pa pinapanganak. Ewan ko, siguro nagbabakasakali na makatama ng malaki.
Bettor 2: Matagal-tagal na rin, Hindi nga, minsan lang akong tumama, maliit pa. Matigas kasi ulo ko iho walang kadala dala hahaha! Naging libangan ko na rin kasi ang karera nakakatanggal ng stress.
Bettor 3: Medyo matagal na rin naisama lang ako nung katrabaho ko tapos nagtuluy-tuloy na. Hindi naman palagi pero tumatama naman kahit papano. Minsan lang ako matalo kasi di ako masyadong tumataya nangungursanada lang tsaka minsan pag may tip.
Bettor 4: Bago pa lang din, siguro mga 3 months pa lang pinataya kasi ako ng officemate ako tapos tumama kinareer ko na hahaha. Sa ngayon medyo hindi pa naman ako nababawian, nananalo tapos may talo din, Medyo naging dibersyon ko na rin kasi pagkagaling ng office medyo nare-relax ako kapag nakakapanuod ng karera.
Bettor 5: Ah matagal na kong karerista bata, lolo na ako dito. Tumatama din syempre pagalingan na lang sa pagdiskarte. Bakit ako tumataya? Nakahiligan ko na rin ang karera. Alam ko lahat ng sugal pero dito ako mas nag-eenjoy sabi na nga ng iba addict, hahahaha.

As for myself I bet because of diversion. I wanted to escape from boredom that’s why I bet. And also I wanted to try my luck, baka biglang swertehin di ba?

It was 2005 when I became familiar and was introduced to the world of horse racing. At first it was just a curiosity that started to become my hobby. I didn’t expect that this would make my life move to another chapter. Wala sa isip ko na maging isang karerista but it just happened…
I remembered we have an old neighbor who was really known for this karera stuff. Dun na tumanda yung kapitbahay namin, sa pangangarera. I used to saw him everyday holding a piece of paper called dividendazo or a racing program when I was still a child. He won many times so some of our neighbors started to show some interests too. And because I was just a child, I didn’t mind it at all. Now that I was on the right age, I never thought that this stuff would be my part of life also.

I have a cousin who always sends text messages to my father about this “karera”. Tips daw yun na nakukuha nya sa isang kaibigan. She encouraged him to bet. And those tips got to win on horse racing. I didn’t give much attention to that for I have no intention to be into horse racing. Hindi ko pati alam ang mga nakikita ko sa mga nangangarera, di ko sila maintindihan. All I saw was just numbers on TV and horses that’s all. But there was something that changed my perception. I began to think of something that would give a fortune for me. So I asked my father, ano ba po ang karera na yan Daddy? He answered it’s a game where horses run to a race track. The first one whoever reached the finish line will be proclaim the winner. Paano naman po magkakapera dyan? Anak e di tataya ka, he exclaimed. But he discouraged me to try it. Pero dahil sa mga udyok ng mga kaibigan ko sa lugar namin, parang naenganyo ako. I was just a bum; eating, sleeping and watching TV in our house so I thought my self to give it a try. I have a friend who became a “kubrador” in our place. I looked for him and tried to bet. I have only 20.00 in my hand that time. I betted my 10.00 and pick a combination of number, but unfortunately I lost. My friend advised me the strategy on how to win; I must have the familiarity to the horses I would pick. Nandyan pa yung sinasabing lyamado o dehado and other terms so; I watched the races on TV. And from there, I started to enjoy watching the races. I was fascinated how the horses run. Natutuwa ako kapag nakakakita ako ng mga kabayo na bigla na lang susulpot galing sa hulihan at saka mananalo. After watching, and started to get some knowledge about this stuff, there’s a usual urge that tells me to bet again. So I bet for the second time and whoala!!! I won!!! Lalo akong naecxite sa pagkakapanalo ko. It was followed by another winnings until i became hooked on that thing. Of course not all times i won but i couldnt hesitate to bet. And the story of my ventures started to begin…..

Memories II

As I continued, sa infanta ko naramdaman yung “love” na sinasabi nila. In manila, I was very timid when it comes to girls. I was called “Mr. Torpe” by my classmates. But I didn’t expect that I could be so expressive to the girls of infanta. Maybe because in manila we, the boys were separated from the girls. Andyan yung medyo ilangan at hiyaan. Intimidation usually happens. Unlike in infanta, boys and girls were classmates or co-ed. It was a little bit new for me. Di ko pa alam kung anong ikikilos ko dahil ever since, puro mga lalaki ang mga kaklase ko. I was even distracted because some of my girl classmates were really good looking. Buti na lang yung pagka ignorante ko sa babae ay nawala at mabilis din akong naka-adopt with the help of my new classmates. They didn’t make me feel that I was new to the environment, sa pagsasalita lang medyo ilang sila hehehe. I learned many things from my opposite sex and I became at eased with them. Because of that, I started to fall for someone easily. Di ko namamalayan na nagkakagusto na ko sa isang tao. I fell in love many times but to those, there was only one whom I really got attached and her name was Tina. We got along many times before she became my girlfriend. Palagi kaming nagkakasama dahil kasali din sya sa mga theater plays na ginagawa namin. I thought Tina and I would get an easy way in our relationship, but things were very complicated for the two us. There were many hindrances that resulted to break up. I wanted to win her back but things were just not meant for us. I have my mistakes and also hers. Next topic, fourth, I experienced to become a leader. I knew it was a responsibility to be a leader and hold an office in our student government. I was much honored to be given an opportunity to have an office in high school since I was a just a transferee and was considered as not bonafied student. But Luckily I didn’t feel it due to my peers and their support. Napakalaking pribilehiyo sa akin nito. I was even amazed for giving me not only one but two offices, the judiciary branch as chief judge and religious affairs as president. Fifth, I learned how to drink “lambanog” or nipa wine. I would never forget the times when my barkada have an occasion like birthdays or fiesta in their barangays, we always drink. Walang humpay na pagiinom hanggang di nauubos at di sumusuka ang isa sa min hahahaha. In this occasion we also expressed our feelings that result to iyakan at dramahan. May tawanan at kalokohan din paminsanminsan. Sixth, I missed the “gimiks ng barkada”. We went to each other’s house just to talk and make some stuff. Minsan nagpupunta pa kami sa beach para mag-picnic especially after our final exams. Seventh, I could never forget the times of companionship with my best friend, Marigold. I used to call her Igod. We were introduced first by my cousin ate Donna and a common friend Andrew. Hindi ko nga matandaan kung paano nagsimula ang pagiging close namin, basta na lang nangyari. We always see each other at the church because we were part of the organization in our school, KL and KLM (Kabataang Lingkod at Kabataang Lingkod ni Maria). I used to remember our moments of laughter, petty quarrels, kulitan at asaran hanggang sa mga dramahan namin. I was really fond of Igod. Eighth, I recollected the times of bonding with my fellow schoolmates; students from different level especially the younger ones. And because of my involvement to the theater group, I got along with different students from different sections of my level up to the younger students. Andyan yung every morning, I was going school, Hi “Kuya Austin”, Kumusta? Those were the lines na palaging sasalubong sa akin. Ang sarap ng feeling dahil maraming kakilala at kaibigan. Ninth, I would always treasure the achievements I received when I was in high school. The appreciation from my fellow students and teachers especially awards from academic and extra curricular activities. Doon ko lang natanggap ang ganitong klaseng pagkilala that’s why I have the pride for the said recognitions. And lastly, my school life as a whole was really something to be proud of. Lahat lahat simula sa pinakamaliit na detalye hanngang sa pinakamalaki. And all of these happened in infanta, quezon.

That’s why this place meant so much to me. Kaya ang hirap sa kin nung magka-college na kami dahil magkakahiwalay na bawat isa sa amin. Some of us would stay in infanta and some were don’t kagaya ko. But I knew the connivance were just still there at di na mawawala kahit kailan. It will always remain in me and will stay in me forever….

Every time I got depressed and felt lonely, I thought of something that could make me laugh and inspired. Something when you started to remember, you couldn’t help but to smile. I thought of infanta……..
Infanta Quezon was a second home for me. This was where I began to express my self and explore my whole being. I learned many things and gained more friends whom I considered to be my true and real ones. I discovered my talents and wouldn’t think that I could have. I still remember my days in infanta,quezon and it was 10 years ago.
There were many unforgettable experiences I have and I wanted to share it with you:
First, I felt I was an alien in my school for being different because of my way of speaking. Kapag nagsasalita ako di nila ako basta sinasagot at tumatawa sila dahil sa punto ko. So I have to learn their “punto” so that I could not be an outcast. I tried to avoid speaking my "so called language". Nagtatanong muna ako sa mga kaibigan ko ng ano at paano ang mga gusto kong sabihin. Later on I became familiar to the ways of how they speak kaya unti unting nahuli ko ang loob nila. Second, I was involved to the theater plays in our school. This thing I want to credit for was Sir Ped. He introduced me to the world I couldn’t think I would be into. Nung una mahirap dahil parang gumagawa ng isang pelikula at ipapalabas pa ito sa maraming tao. I was a shy-type person before. And because of involving to this kind of activity, I started to boost my confindence. I was noted not only as an actor but more in backstage job. I became a director and also a choreographer. Di ko talaga lubos maisip na magagawa ko ang mga yun dati. By the help and motivation of Sir Ped, I confidently worked to the plays we did. Napapangiti ako kapag naaalala ko ang mga plays na ginawa namin like Lorenzo Ruiz, Bagong Filipino, and others. I felt proud that those plays were once applauded by many. Mukhang napasobra pa yata hehehe. Third, I experienced to have a special someone. In manila I used to have crushes and attraction to girls but here in infanta, I started to fall in love. ….. to be continued

My GuITaR

As I reminisced the first days after my tragic experiences, I couldn’t help my self but to cry. I pitied very much when it comes to my life before to my life now.I couldn’t picture out my life in this situation. Alam kong mali ang ginagawa ko pero at one point di ko pa rin ito maiwasan. I missed my life. I missed the old days… I have limited actions now unlike before I could do anything. My hobbies changed because the hobbies I used to have before were very complicated for me now. Iba na ang austin noon sa ngayon…..
There were many things I used to do that I couldn’t for now but somehow I have adjusted already. Tanggap ko na ang lahat. And I’m still thankful for what had happened. But what I missed most was playing my guitar. Playing guitar was my passion since I was in high school. My day wouldn’t be complete without playing a guitar. Everyday I played 10 songs in my guitar. Ewan ko ba kahit paulit ulit di ako magsawa. Those songs were from parokya ni edgar, eraserheads, and from various artists. Madagdagan man ang mga kantang tinutugtog ko pero hindi ito bababa sa 10. There must be something in those songs that make me comfortable and inspired everyday, naks!
Those songs were:

I always play those songs before I go to school and before I sleep. But now, because of what had happened, di ko na magagawa ulit ito. Time will only tell if it’s going to happen again, who knows……

Aneurysm

In the hospital, I was detected that I have an aneurism. That was the condition that occurred in my brain (cerebral aneurysm). Aneurysm was said to be a localized, blood-filled dilation (balloon-like bulge) of a blood vessel caused by disease or weakening of the vessel wall. It can be very fatal when the bulge in a blood vessel burst and could lead to death at any time.
As stated by the doctors that attended me, these can be the causes of aneurysm in my brain:
1. congenital defects
2. poor eating habits
3. high blood pressure
4. alcoholic drinks
5. smoking
6. stress
7. drugs

As examined, 6 of those were confirmed in my situation. They detected that the aneurysm in my head was a congenital defect. I have poor eating habits(Mahilig kasi ako sa mga maaalat,matatamis at matatabang pagkain. When I was in college I always eat “Kwek kwek” or coated quail eggs for my lunch and merienda. I didn’t know if its true; "Nung nasa hospital ako sa quezon, nang icheck ang aking blood pressure, biglang taas daw. But when I was brought to manila, my blood pressure was normal" I drink alcoholic beverages occasionally and I also tried smoking but not too much. I think I’m also stressed that time because of my studies and some personal matters.
Symptoms of aneurysms were:
1. severe headache
2. nausea
3. vomiting
4. impairment of speech
5. loss of consciousness
I experienced almost of it except I was conscious that time. And the worst part of it was the aneurysm inside my head was ruptured that resulted to stroke. My half body was paralyzed. I really couldn’t imagine myself in this situation. Pakiramdam ko nasira ang buhay ko. All of my dreams were shattered. Parang nawalan ng saysay ang lahat.
But on the positive side, I was blessed. I was given a 2nd chance to live my life again. Usually aneurysm cases leads to death. I remembered my father told me that in the operating room we were almost 4 or 5 patients which have a similar case that I have. We were about to be operated in our heads. My entire fellow patients didn’t make it to survive the operation except me. Lalo akong di makapaniwala, So, I said to myself, I will make my life more meaningful and worthy. I will share my life to others and prove them that life is beautiful yet complicated. So live life to the fullest and make the most out of it…….

The experience in the hospital always embarrass me lalo na kapag napapagkwentuhan yung pagkakasakit ko. My dad used to tell his friends, relatives and colleagues about my condition whenever they talked of something. Our struggles inside and outside the hospital makes me wonder how we overcame with it especially me. He told me that in my room, I’ve done many ridiculous acts and they were very affected. They got irritated too.
One of those was after my emergency operation, I was put to the i.c.u. Nagbabantay sya sa kin at nang magising ako bigla na lang akong nagrecite ng multiplication table. Whoa!!! Sabi ko talaga po?!!! He said I actually recited almost the multiplication table of 50s. Ang bilis daw tuloy tuloy. I couldn’t make it again if you dare me to do it I exclaimed to him. Eto pa ang isa, I have an auntie who used to make fun of me when I was a child. He said when she talked to me, I answered her in English. Hindi na makasagot ang tita ko dahil tuluy-tuloy ang pagsasalita ko ng English. Mahina daw sya dun kaya tumahimik na lang sya.. Hahahahhaha, I can’t help but laugh. I was restless in my room. Di ako makatulog sa gabi at di nila alam kung bakit. I have a TV in my room and kahit closing na ng mga palabas ay di pa rin ako makatulog. That’s why the doctors gave me depressants for me to calm down and sleep. Kaya madalas para akong aswang, sa umaga ako tulog, sa gabi ako gising. When someone visited me di ko nalalaman dahil tulog nga ako. Another was I saw many things unbelievable. Every night due to restlessness, I woke my parents because I saw a big dog staring at me and sometimes a lady in white standing in front of the door. They were scared about my actions. I was consulted to a psychiatrist and the doctor said it’s a normal reaction when I took a depressants. Kaya pag nangyayari yun, palaging puyat mga magulang ko. Next, I even said bad words against them. Minumura ko sila tuwing gabi pag pinapatulog nila ako. I couldn’t imagine my self doing it to my own family. Nagsorry ako agad sa kanila. I bowed my head down and became quiet. My father told me its okay; they knew I didn’t mean those things because I was sensitive and disturbed that time. I also became very emotional in the hospital. I always cry especially when someone visited me. Tuwing may pupunta sa kin para dumalaw at kumustahin ako, lagi na lang akong umiiyak. Di nila alam kung bakit pero parang bata daw ako. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I really did that!?! There this one song that makes me cry whenever I heard and watched it on TV; the song “Pangako” by Regine Velasquez. I didn’t know what was in the song that makes me cry. Minsan kinakanta ko pa ito habang umiiyak na parang bata nang malakas! Heto ang malupit, parental guidance is advised. Hahahaha!! There were times I wanted to get naked. I didn’t care if anybody saw my whole body even my _____ you know. I actually scattered my diapers.Sabi ko daw;” Ang init tsaka laging nangangati” I didn’t even bother whether the nurses and visitors saw me. O my gosh!!! I remembered when I was discharged in the hospital we have to get back for check up, I saw the female nurse who always attend in my room. She whispers; “Wala ka ng matatago kabisadong kabisado ko na yan while looking at my pants”. I blushed instantly and she smiled at me. The most embarrassing moment was I always wanted to be kissed. Visitors especially girls couldn’t escape from my favor. Different ages from young to old. Shoooshh!! Sabi ng tito ko na nagbabantay sa akin dun; “Alam mo ba mark walang babaeng nakakaligtas sa’yo sa hospital”. Even the old land lady of our house, I asked her to kiss me. Whaattttt?!!! Bakit ko ginawa yun? Kahit ayaw nila hindi pwedeng di sila hahalik o ikaw ang hahalik. Nakakahiya talaga…. Parang wala na kong mukhang ihaharap sa kanila. But on the other side, I was fortunate. I got the chance to kiss my visitors especially girls whom I liked before. Naughty aside I didn’t know it all. Huh??

That was the 10 horrible things that happened to me while I was confined. I didn’t know if there’s more but I hope that’s all.

10 hours of my life changing experience….

It was June 8, 2001 7 o’clock in the morning I started to wake up because I must help my grandfather. (kailangan ko syang tulungan sa pag-aayos ng kanyang mga paninda sa kanyang maliit na tindahan). After that, we had breakfast and everything seemed to be alright. Until, I went upstairs to rest and sleep.

In my room, I started to feel something weird. “Parang unti unting sumasakit ang ulo.” I didn’t mind it for it’s just a usual feeling when you woke up early from a late sleep. I slept in my bedroom but it seemed my head started to ache.”Grabe ang sakit!!! As if my head was hammered. Around 10 to 10:30 a.m., I stood up to go to the comfort room but it was so strange. Biglang bumigat yung ulo ko. At first, I didn’t know what to do but I just ignored it and went down in our house. I asked my mom about my headache and she just said to sleep again and take a pill to relieve the pain . I went upstairs again and tried to sleep but this time I went to my sibling’s bedroom. Mainit na kasi sa kwarto ko dahil doon na sumisikat araw. I couldn’t slept, my head became heavier and heavier. It’s excruciating!!! Hanggang sa biglang umangat ang kaliwang kamay ko ng di sinasadya at nanginig. After that, my half body became numb. I couldn’t felt anything in my left arm parang hindi ko kamay yung hinahawakan ko. I screamed mommy and she attended to me immediately. She started to panic and cried for help. That time I felt I was floating in the air. Di ko talaga alam ang gagawin ko. I cried and spoke of anything. Nagpapaalam na ako at naghahabilin ng kung anu ano. My younger brother came home from school and saw my situation. He couldn’t believe what had happened to me so I called him and asked to punch me very hard. He said he won’t but I insisted and so he punched me. Oh my God!!! There’s no feeling at all. Wala na lang nasabi ang kapatid ko at di makapaniwala. I understood him in his very young age. My sister also came and was shocked. She cried and became speechless.

I was so helpless; the people in our house didn’t know what to do to me. 12:00 noon I was brought to the hospital in our town. It took me almost an hour before the doctors there decided to transfer me to manila so that they could assist me. They haven’t enough facilities and specialists that would attended to me. I suffered from a stroke the doctors said. May pumutok na ugat sa ulo ko at kailangan maasikaso agad sa mas magandang hospital. We immediately went to manila at 1:00 pm. In the ambulance, I continued to vomit and became fainted. Hinang hina na ako sa dami ng sinusuka ko. The food I’ve eaten on breakfast was pulled out. I couldn’t speak and tears continued to flow in my eyes. I prayed and asked for intervention. When we arrived at the hospital on manila around 4:00 pm, my dad was already there waiting for us. Pagbukas pa lang ng ambulance, nakita ko agad si daddy, his eyes was teary at nagmano agad ako. I held his hand very hard and exclaimed-“Daddy wag nyo po ako iiwan.” “Dito lang ako anak hindi kita iiwan” he answered. On that moment I felt I’m not alone, I’m at eased. I was headed to the emergency room and was examined. Pakiramdam ko okay na ko kaya di ko namalayan na nakatulog ako.

When I opened my eyes, I couldn’t remember anything. Everything was changed. I have many ivy's in my arms and oxygen in my mouth. While I’m sleeping, they took test like blood test, ct scan and others. It was 8:00 pm in the evening and my life was changed… I just realized that everything was so fast that what had happened to me would be for almost 10 hours only. Life's a mystery. You can never tell what's happening so be ready.....
